Welcome to the world, Sailor Mae!
Fort Worth Birth and Wellness Center
7 lbs. 12oz.
19.5 inches long.
Perfect, and so loved!
Sailor Mae came into this world at the wonderful Fort Worth Birthing & Wellness Center in Fort Worth, Texas. On April 20, 2020, I got the call to head to the birthing center at 4am. I arrived at 4:45am and Miranda was in labor but only at a 4cm. She progressed really quickly! By 6:15 she was starting to feel the need to push but wasn’t quite full just yet. After a lot of moving and adjusting, at 6:45 we moved her to the tub. After two pushes, Sailor Mae made her appearance on at 7am on the dot! This momma got to see the rising sun as her new daughter entered the world, and wrote her own beautiful birth story about her experience.

I love when daddy does skin to skin. It is such a bonding time between daddy and baby, and starts forming a connection of protection and strength.
Not even 2 hours old and already sucking on her little thumb.
The smell of the herbal bath mix boiling makes my soul settle, it creates a soft intimate smell throughout the birthing center and really calms you.
She did lost of work to make it earthside, so of course Sailor Mae gave us the biggest yawns!!
At first, most dads are scared to hold the weight/baby wrap but when they finally pick it up and get to measure their own baby it instantly puts a smile on their faces and makes the proud daddy moment really come out.
I am so honored to be present at Sailor Mae’s arrival! It warms my heart to no end to help families document their journey of creating and adding to their families. 💕
