It was my pleasure to photograph baby Everett’s introduction into this world! I got the call at 10:45pm and soon arrived for this Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. Everett was born at 12:33am! This birth is special because his mamma was shocked when she found out she was pregnant with him. After taking awhile to have their first child, a second child coming so soon was a beautiful surprise.

Right after the birth, mommy and daddy were able to do immediate skin- my favorite part! 🙂 Then mom was able to breastfeed and enjoy her new bundle of joy! During her pregnancy, mom craved watermelon and the spicy chicken sandwich from Chic-Fil-A! Now, both parents can’t get enough of their little nugget. They rocked their Texas Health Natural Birth, take a scroll through Everett’s ‘Birth’day!

Getting the call in the wee hours of the night means when you arrive you get your pick of parking and the calmness of the night puts your spirit at ease before walking into the delivery room. This Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Birth was magical!

This couple has my heart! I walked in to them playing cards. Hello dream birth! Momma was so calm and serene. She was ready to let her body do what it’s made to do, and she wasn’t stressing about it. Deal me in, dad!

Contractions quickly, and I mean quickly picked up. Momma was mid card game and it hit. We knew at that point it was time to get the midwife back in the room and get to setting up for baby go time.

It took about 3 good pushes and he was here! Momma calmly pushed him out, she was at ease the whole time.

After a fresh diaper change, Everett was good to go! He was very alert and loved looking around the room.
